I went home to visit my family and attend a wedding in Jan 2006. It was fantastic, beautiful wedding, and gorgeous weather, best time of year to visit Wellington!!Hadn't seen my mum for ten years, yes I know way too long! She got to see her granddaughter now all grown up. They spent time together exchanging family history and getting to know each other.
We did a huge family group to the Wellington Zoo, that's my favourite place, boy has that changed since I was last there. No we didn't do any elephant rides, but we did the train ride round the lake. It was a fabulous day, and my favourite sight was watching a lion chase a ball, hitting it with his paws, such a funny site. Never seen that before. My favourite animal, was a type of monkey thing, can't remember it's name, but it was really little and bright coloured, and ever so cute.
The scenery in NZ is spectacular you really must see it.
